    While I'm at it, I have to add that I'm amazed at the extent of the outsourcing that's practiced at airports nowadays

    I sometimes wonder if outsourcing things like customer service is done in order to provide a form of plausible deniability... "they're not our staff, we can't help how crap they are..."
